Due to cloud cover in the area, I went to Shenandoah National Park and viewed the meteor shower from a turnoff on the Skyline Drive. The seeing was excellent, however the meteor shower was not. Throughout the entire evening I was only able to see 12 meteors- 7 sporadics and 5 Camelopardalids. I was able to "catch" one of them on a digital image.
